Week in Lakeland
A Nice Clean park with loads to do. The activities were quite pricey. My boys were booked in to the Ariel adventure which is for age 8 and over but when we got there they couldn’t do it as they needed an adult as they weren’t tall enough. We had the same problem with the kayaks.
The caravan was small especially the kitchen area but it was clean and had a comfy bed.
Double check before you go that you have entertainment passes. We realised that we didn’t have them until the morning of our holiday. We asked to buy them but reception told us we couldn’t buy them onsite. So we couldn’t go swimming or in to the entertainment bar.
We had a meal in the restaurant one night. The service was terrible. We waited 1 hour for our food. When it arrived my pasta & salmon had obviously been lying a while and was all dry with a gallon on oil over it to cover up how dry it was.We then waited another 30mins for our table to be cleaned and offered a dessert menu. We then spent 20mins trying to get a member of staffs attention to order desserts. The whole time we were in the restaurant the staff stood and chatted with other staff members and we over heard them Saying how quite it was??

Great visit again
We have visited Lakeland many times before and always have a great time but this was our first since COVID. Check in was contactless with keys left in the caravan which was sealed and spotlessly clean (we had a newer delux van) and had everything we needed including super heating. We were located on Coniston bordering the small airfield and was a lovely location.
We originally booked a hideaway break but upgraded to the full experience for £40 for the weekend which would allow us to swim and go to the new entertainment venue. You must book before in advance, we managed to get 2 swim sessions but couldn’t get into the Entertainment much to my children’s disappointment. I completely understand the reasons behind booking however we ended up paying £40 for 2 swims which isn’t great. Other than that we had a great time just relaxing and enjoying some much needed family time! I would highly recommend the park, it’s great for children and lovely being so close to the lakes too! So much so we are looking at buying next season so we can come whenever we want.
